OUTLINE
Wider outline in the nose working its way to a very pulled in performance tail. The wider nose gives the added stability which may help you ride this board slightly shorter than other boards. The pulled in rounded tail gives you more hold and confidence as the waves get bigger than you’d expect from a board of this design. Plenty of outline curve in this board helps with turning tight and hard.
RAILS
Up front the rails are fairly tucked to make it a little more forgiving due to the nose width. Through the middle, the rails are thin and low and help give that bite when this wide curvy board is on rail. This also reduces volume which prevents the board from skipping out mid bottom turn. The tail rails are very hard and thin and give good release and plenty to push hard against, combined with the thin, low sides you’ll never feel like you need to nurse the board through hard turns.
ROCKER
This board has quite a lot of rocker, it has a little flip in the nose to help that wider outline in late drops or critical turns into and off the lip. Fairly similar rocker to the acid through the middle of the board and a little extra through the tail. Helping with tight turns and keeping the nose from pearling after late turns off the lip or tight hacks in the pocket.
BOTTOM
Single to double concave to V. Concave front engages the rail quickly on the drop, hooks you into turns faster and gets you up to speed effortlessly. The double to V helps with rail to rail transitions and keeps the tail nice and locked in at speed.
DECK
Fairly rolled deck. The main goal being thin performance rails. The bonus with this is chop doesn’t “hit” the rails when you’re paddling around the lineup. It rolls over the board making it more predictable and therefore stable.
FINS
This board comes with very different fins to our other models. It has quite a large set of sides and a smaller rear. Not quite a twin+1 setup. We kept a slightly bigger rear than your typical twin+1 to keep a little more drive. Also supplied with quad fins if that’s your thing. If you’re going to use bigger waves just upsize your rear.
